I have paid $60 for a citation (sale of tobacco products to minors) in 2004 in texas. do i need to mention this in my 485 application? does this effect my green card process?

USCIS has updated the H-1B cap count. (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=138b6138f898d010VgnVCM10000048f3d6a1RCR D&vgnextchannel=91919c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1 RCRD) As of December 8, CIS has received approximately 61,500 cases against the regular (non-Master's) H-1B cap of 65,000. However, since CIS sets aside up to 6,500 of this 65,000 for nationals of Chile and Singapore, it is possible that they will stop accepting other H-1B petitions soon, if not already. We are still filing new petitions, but with fingers crossed that they are not too late. If you need to file, please do so ASAP.

Got a denial notice for my wife's AOS application (I-485) though dates are no where current for us ...

Got an RFE for both of us last month for immunization records etc which was replied on time ... The civil surgeon administered few shots and exempted her on few as she is nursing our newborn ... Now this week our lawyer received a notice of denial (not NOID) of her AOS application on the basis of the medical ... not sure what screwing USCIS is doing but I am pretty sure on one thing - they are running low on budget and need the MTR fees etc to collect additional fees ...

Does anyone else have same or similar kind of experience recently .... appreciate if you can share your experience ...

My wife will be applying for H4 visa (1 st time) some time in march. I am currently working on H1B in US.

while checking the website for documents required for H4, they ask for the Photocopy of the Principal Applicant�s valid visa.

Since I am a canadian citizen, I do not require a visa for US and hence I don't have a H1B visa stamped on my passport.

I would appreciate if you could reply me on this regard.

I filed my 485 on June 4th 2007 with NSC. It was transferred to TSC and received my Receipt notice. Now I am going to file my AP.

My question is where should I file my AP?. Do I need to file with NSC or TSC?.

Please someone respond.

Is it possible to extend H4 status after using EAD for a person whose I-485 pending in derivative status.

I read Cronin Memo reg. dual intent "Revision of March 14, 2000 Dual Intent Memorandum"
It seems to discuss reg. using AP to enter the country and maintaining H status.

Not sure if anyone here has done the extension of H4 after using EAD.

Did any body renew thier EAD's recently?..instruction on page 12 says that the Filing fee of $340 is waived coe category C9...is that true..:confused:

Only for people who paid the new I-485 fee effective July 31st, 2007. Lot of the July 2007 VB filers (even in August 2007) paid the old fee, and have to pay the $340.

Hi,

What is the best way to save one from going out of status on E-3 visa?Can a E-3 Visa holder or E-3D visa holder may apply and successfully get EB-3 or EB-2 green card?Can E-3 visa holder may work for two employers (already USCIS approved extension petition from both) simultaneously (without filling any new I-129 or extension request)?

The place of birth for E-3 Visa holder is Pakistan.

Please suggest and advise?
